I play semi-
professional
baseball at 70.
When I was a
teenager, I was
told by scout
and Hall of
Famer Harold
“Pie” Traynor,
Pittsburgh
Pirates 3b, that I
had the best
hands for a
catcher that he
had ever seen.
I am the
director
of the
Fieldodre
ams
Project.
It is a
challenge
to get a
hit off of
a Major
League
Baseball
pitcher in
10 at
bats.
I have held the
Fieldodreams
Project at the
sandlot and high
school levels
which changes
the format
considerably.  I
am anticipating
extending the
event to the
semi-professional,
collegiate, minor
league, and MLB
levels.
I am a bi-lingual,
special education
educator.  I earned
a Bachelors of
Science degree in
Health and Physical
Education from
Slippery Rock
University and a
Masters in Mexican
American Graduate
Studies from San
Jose State
University.
I am an
author,
illustrator,
and publisher
of academic
sports
motivating
workbooks.
They include
baseball,
football,
basketball,
and world
soccer
(Spanish/Engl
ish format).
